MU Tennis Team – with Kayla Elrod

MU Tennis Team was developed for Insertions, a festival of artworks situated in the streets around Make-Up Project Space in Berlin. Across the street, in a vacant lot where construction had been suspended, we built a functioning tennis court, free and open to the local community. By reclaiming an abandoned urban space for public use, the project challenged the exclusivity of a sport largely organized around private clubs and paid access, turning an inaccessible leisure activity into a shared source of togetherness.
